Our Services

What to Expect

Our main goal is to empower you to help your child. We will work together as a team to make sure that the needs of your child are being met. We want everyone to meet their potential and communicate with the world around them.

When you first come to Coastline Speech Therapy and Voice Clinic, we will first get to understand what your main concerns are and what you hope to accomplish in speech therapy.  We want to make sure we meet you and your child where they are developmentally in order to achieve the best outcomes.  To do this, we will complete an evaluation of their current skills.  Then we will work together to create treatment goals to achieve functional gains in treatment sessions.  We expect you will have a lot of questions and we will answer them during our sessions together.

Sessions will target specific goals and we will provide a home practice plan to help you further your skills in between sessions. You are a key part of your child's speech and language development and we will work together to help goals be achieved.

Speech and Language Evaluation

A comprehensive speech and language evaluation may include standardized and non-standardized assessment measures in order to obtain the best picture of you or your child’s current speech and language skills as well as any additional areas of concern. This will be a time for us to evaluate how your child is currently communicating and how we can help them with any concerns you may be having.

Following the evaluation, a written report will be provided to you with all information obtained during our session, including written goals for treatment.

Speech Therapy Treatment

Speech therapy sessions may be provided individually or in a group setting. Speech therapy treatment is intended to target specific skills that are needed to functionally communicate in your daily life.

For children, this often takes the form of play, as play is the job of kids!  We will work together to build speech and language skills through play in our sessions.

Note that speech therapy treatment sessions can be virtual or in your home.
